Mo Brooks Offers Nuremberg Defense, says White House Asked Him To Make Jan 6 Speech

Mo Brooks finally got served with a lawsuit by Eric Swalwell’s team, and you recall what a farce that was, with Brooks claiming the process server trespassed on his property and assaulted his wife. In any event, Brooks responded and what a response. His January 6 speech, he states, was made at the request of the White House. But for that request, he says, he would not have even attended the rally. And the White House knew what the speech contained.

Not surprising in the least that some Republican would use the Nuremberg defense, not the least bit surprising that it is Mel Brooks.

  1. That entire lot is using the Nuremberg defense, and it should (but probably won’t) be just as ineffective. (Didn’t see any of them with guns pointed at them.)

  2. So Mo says he only gave that inflammatory speech because the “White House” asked him to, huh? Maybe he’s forgotten about a little Constitutional detail called the separation of powers. The “White House” can ASK him to do anything, but it can’t ORDER him to do anything. So he doesn’t even have the comfort of the Nuremberg defense. He’s really using the “I was only following a suggestion” defense.

  3. So, another LPOS Republican by definition. Is there a defense for traitors? What country do these idiots live in? Why do we allow these people to breathe the same air as the rest of us. They should accused, tried, convicted and executed as traitors.
