If you’re looking for ground zero in MAGA crazy land, look no farther. Arizona is it. And the sad reality is that Arizona was it way before last night and the particular debacle of Kari Lake v. Karrin Taylor Robson, which is now undecided due to the fact that it’s a virtual tie.
As you saw from two posts here, both around midnight, Kari Lake has been crying FRAUD for weeks now and since the contest is close, who knows where this will go? At 11:00 a.m. PDT the race stood at 46.2% Lake to 44.4% Robson with 80% of the vote counted.
Let’s assume for the sake of argument that Lake wins. That ought to please her, right? Then the playing field will change. It won’t be MAGA v. RINO, it will be Republican v. Democrat in a state which has been trending blue for a while. I fully expect it to be the ugliest gubernatorial race and very probably the ugliest race, period, in the fall, if Lake does prevail in the primary.
Here’s the latest lunacy from the Grand Canyon state, which Meghan McCain kicked off.
The second tweet is in response to Blake Masters and Mark Finchem, in addition to Lake.

There is no help for Arizona now. A bastion for Fascists and Nazis. It will soon become uninhabitable anyway. They will not get a penny of my money. I hope companies leave in droves and they cannot host sports events. Serves them right (PUN).

These grim predictions for the habitability of Arizona I find disturbing. We’re all connected here. Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, Mexico are all dependent upon the Colorado River. One state alone is not going to go down ecologically speaking. However, if Arizona decides to self-immolate politically, it may lose business.
Personally, I find this MAGA hate-fest amusing, but I think that Kari Lake, assuming she is nominated, is going to down in flames in November. She is probably an easier candidate for Katie Hobbs to beat, so I hope she does win.
Enjoy it, Kari. This is probably the only time that the Democrats are going to be on your side.
And with respect to Meghan McCain, she’s despised on both sides of the aisle. Yet another rare occasion when MAGAs and Democrats can see eye to eye on something. Enjoy it while it lasts.
I don’t understand why Meghan McCain thinks she has anything useful to say about anything. She is a trust-fund baby who has never gotten a job based on merit. She is not smart, but thinks she is. Her sense of entitlement is off the charts. That said, I don’t think the MAGAts know what a meltdown is.
This is one of those times where the amusement factor is in sitting back and watching them eat each other.
