Ricky Shiffer, the man who fired a nail gun into the office building housing the FBI in Cincinnati today, and was subsequently pursued and killed, was a regular poster on Trump’s Truth Social media site and attended the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.
“A man identified by two law enforcement sources as Ricky Shiffer, who died in a confrontation with police after firing a nail gun at an FBI Cincinnati building, appeared to post online in recent days about his desire to kill FBI agents shortly after former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence was searched.
Two law enforcement officials confirmed Shiffer’s name to NBC News. Shiffer attended the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, according to three people aiding law enforcement who saw him in photos taken from the day of the attack, however it’s unclear if he went inside the building. Shiffer frequently posted about his attendance at the Capitol on social media…
… “Well, I thought I had a way through bullet proof glass, and I didn’t. If you don’t hear from me, it is true I tried attacking the F.B.I., and it’ll mean either I was taken off the internet, the F.B.I. got me, or they sent the regular cops while,” the account @RickyWShifferJr wrote at 9:29 a.m. ET, shortly after police allege the shooting occurred.”
Shiffer’s social media presence is scrubbed now, but Travis View, who host the QAnon Anonymous Podcast, captured screen views of some of his online activity…

Luckily no agents were harmed in the incident today, which I suspect will be found out to be a case of suicide by cop.
But it is sad that Ricky Shiffer lost his life after being subjected to years of lies and disinformation fomented by cretins like drumpf, MTG and every Republican pol and Fox News empty talking head that amplifies their obscenities.
How many more lives will be sacrificed to their hateful rhetoric?
The sad thing is he probably thinks he died a martyr, instead he died believing the con man’s grift was real. The people who propogate this false narrative re: TFG have blood on their hands. Especially EmptyGreene. They corresponded, she could have talked him down a level or two to avoid what happened today.
This will sound cold but I’m going to say it. He died happy, the rest of us go on in the world he hated…win-win.

They KNOW they have blood on their hands but it doesn’t bother them in the least. As for talking him down a level, they don’t care about what their followers do. It’s the same mindset (sorry for using “mind” with regards to the MAGA folks) that leaders of the Aryan Church group followed in the 70s and 80s. They constantly preached violence against Jews and Blacks and exhorted their followers to do “whatever was necessary” to “preserve the White race.” Then when their followers were caught after murdering the “offenders” and prosecuted, the prosecutors tried to tie the leaders to the actions but the leaders would fall back on the “hyperbole” and “never thought they’d do something like that” defense. The followers were sent to prison and the leaders went right back to doing what they’d been doing and “inspiring” more followers into “taking more action.”
Small difference between then and now: those Aryan numbers are starting to drop off a cliff and are only going to get worse (hence the bogus claim of “White Genocide”).
He won’t be the last. But none of these people will achieve the goal, no matter how much heartbreak they unleash. What a waste.
