Donald Trump, Jr. took to Steve Bannon’s airwaves today to opine how it’s about time for this empire to fall, since they all take about 250 years to do so. Don’t worry, Junior, we’re pretty sure the opium poppy fields will endure and you’ll be able to get what you need. It’s time to worry about basics, right?
There is a question of perspective. Jr. likely sees the end of his gravy train. His 15 minutes—that felt like 7yrs to the rest of us— may be ending.

Well it sure as sh*t is the end of his civilization. Walking around behind a shopping cart with all his worldly possessions in it will not place him in a world looking very civilized. Worse still we don’t know how many fingers he had in all of daddy’s fuck ups. I do believe he’d find prison even worse than homelessness.
Rather doubt he knows that the definition of civilization is “a society that lives in cities.” So it won’t be that bad. I kinda like small towns.
Civilization survived the end of the Great Egyptian empire, the end of the Roman Empire, the fall of Constantinople, among many other great societies.
I’m more than confident that civilization will easily survive Donald Trump’s being not just indicted but convicted and put in prison for his role in the insurrection.
Don Junior might not survive because he has absolutely zero marketable skills to offer society (of course, that never stops the morons hired at most right-wing media outlets; in fact, the fewer marketable skills for them, the better–basically, all they need is the ability to read cue cards).
