When the going gets desperate, Donald Trump puts his son-in-law on camera. That is the only thing that explains Jared Kushner’s appearance in late April, which was hailed as being beyond parody, wherein he ringingly declared that the government response to COVID-19 was “a great success story.” If this epic moment in American history has slipped your mind, or if you thought you must have hallucinated it, no, you did not. We all saw it and heard it, too — but give yourself a break. It’s understandable how somebody could get Kushner mixed up with a bad acid trip. “We’ve achieved all the different milestones that were needed. The federal government rose to the challenge and this is a great success story. And I think that’s really what needs to be told.” That day, as you may recall, 50,000 were already dead and as we speak, that figure has more than doubled, but this was a time of celebration to hear Jared tell it.
“And in terms of the national strategy that you mentioned with Governor Newsome, we’ve been very busy doing. We released the strategy document earlier this week. It was an eight step plan and seven of those steps have been completed. So you can accelerate the levels that needed to be done. A lot of the work is the up front work that’s all been completed and again, we’ve done more tests than any other country in the world, so we’ve got to be doing a lot of things right.”
Now Monday, Jared has taken the exact same propensity for gibberish and double talk and overlaid it onto his newest portfolio task, race relations. We were all assured this afternoon that systemic racism is a thing of the past. Jared fixed it. It was so easy and he just went in and did it and aren’t you glad? One less thing to worry about, as Forrest Gump would have put it.

Those reforms make our communities safer and have made our system fairer and that’s the kind of action that we’ve been able to accomplish by working together so and what we’ve seen in the past is that the meetings together and the work together doesn’t just result in reports and in nice talking points, it actually results in actual progress and policies that make people’s lives better and make communities safer so it’s an honor to work together and hopefully at this time when there’s a lot of people in the country who are feeling different pain and feeling different concerns, law enforcement can be a leader in coming together and helping us towards working towards bringing solutions which can bring this country forward.”
Kushner filled air for 56 seconds here, but not a bloody thing has been in fact accomplished. This is all hyperbolic tripe.
But, the thing that is interesting about these two diatribes, a month apart, is that in the April clip, Kushner declared the pandemic over and it is anything but and today, Kushner declared an end to 400 years of systemic racism — and when we pick our jaws up off the floor, we’ll tell you what’s up with that.
This is nothing new. Do you recall back in January, 2019, when Mick Mulvaney was on thin ice and the government shutdown was taking place, that Kayleigh McEnany declared that Jared was the only one in government with the requisite “negotiating skills” to solve the shutdown? Or, the crisis in the Middle East? Or the opioid crisis? Or, the pandemic? Or, now systemic racism? Have you been following this? This is sheer madness.
Apparently the term “negotiating skills” is defined in some Republican dictionary on the dark political arts as a cross between sorcery and mass hypnosis, because that’s what Kushner needs to invoke in order to put a lock down on this raging tire fire and every raging tire fire that this administration generates. And.Nothing,Ever.Changes. Except to get worse. But then Jared will come back around and tell you, no, you got it wrong, it’s all actually gotten much better.
Jared Kushner is the gaslighter in chief. It would be a wonderful thing to be a fly on the wall each time a new poll comes out and Kushner explains to Trump how the cratering numbers are really something good and positive. That I long to hear.
Again, we return to George Orwell. Where else is there to go? Other than stark, raving mad?

As much as Kushner lies, he’s the most unpopular member of the Trump klan in polls. So something of the truth about him is filtering through. We need to get this entire corrupt bunch out of Dodge in November. This country ain’t big enough for the both of us, us being America and the Trumps. If we could run ’em out of town on a rail, I’d say put Kushner up there first.
Yes, they ll need raking out. And then prosecuted for variety of illegal things.

Honestly, I think that they all are living in some sort of delusion. They have all lost (if they ever had) complete touch with reality and on November 3rd the American people are going’s to set them all down and ‘splain a few things to them and on January 21, 2021 the SDNY will go into detail of those explanations.

I think Trump has always had a love-hate relationship with Jared. Leaving aside the disturbing stuff about Trump’s desire for his daughter, I believe Trump sees a lot of himself in Jared. Like Trump, Jared has convinced himself he’s a far smarter and superior person than what he actually is. Remember George Will’s joke about the younger Bush – born on third base and thought he hit a triple? Jared, like his father in law was born crossing home plate behind three base runners thinking he hit a grand slam! And then went on to pitch a perfect game!
I look at this guy and his visage is such that he gives of the air of someone who has managed to convince himself not that his shit doesn’t stink, but that he is so perfect a creation his body doesn’t expel waste at all.
I’d truly love to see him sharing a cell with Trump in prison, or at least in the cell across from Trump so they can spend their days blaming each other for where they are!
I honestly think he does think he has the right idea. And look who he married. I saw that thing on her commencement speech. And honest to god I felt sorry for the poor girl. She takes the saying the lights on but nobody’s home to a whole new level.

Personally, I kind of lean towards the more classic drawn and quartered, THEN we can tar and feather them, then the rail. Nothing’s too good for these folks.
I always liked the old fashioned dunking. Where they put them in a chair on a real long pole and dropped them in the river. I know, went to a really small school that didn’t have much of a budget for school books. Has haunted me all my life what I maybe could of been. Then again, other people did good with less.
I know violence is bad. But there is something about a long walk off a short pier that always comes to mind when certain people are brought up in conversation. I will leave it at that. Everyone needs a fantasy.
