Ivanka Rejected Her Family 18 Times, Feels She ‘Got Burned’ In Washington

The circus that is the Trump Organization fraud trial continues in New York. That is only one of eighteen situations where Donald Trump’s favorite child, the one he and Howard Stern joked about being a “piece of ass” namely Ivanka, has sought to put distance between herself and the rest of the family. That’s a good idea, actually. If she had implemented the idea decades ago, she might have made some progress by now. Instead, she’s attempting to sweep a mountain of dirt under the rug and it’s not turning out to be so easy.

Ivanka’s disenchantment, or shall we say the last straw, was reached when her father lost the election and then started the Capitol Riot over it. She and Jared swiftly departed for Florida after that. Ivanka then showed up many months later at the January 6 Committee investigation and testified that there was no evidence of voter fraud. So that’s two times, the Capitol Riot and the Trump Organization fraud trial. To read the other sixteen, SheKnows has a slide show going. My favorite is the one where she and Jared feel they got burned. Oh, my ears and whiskers. $164M while they “served” in the White House and $2B after they got out? May we all be so burned. Where do I get in line?

In November 2022, sources from Tiffany Trump’s Mar-a-Lago wedding reported that Donald Trump was working hard to try and convince Ivanka and Jared to be a part of his 2024 campaign — and that they were holding firm in their refusal.

“Trump thought he could convince Ivanka this weekend to come back and campaign for him as she was the most requested speaker after the president himself last time around … but so far she’s resisting his entreaties and holding firm, as is Jared,” one source told the New York Post. “They both feel they got burned in Washington and don’t want to go back and expose themselves and their children to another bitter campaign.”

I don’t think “bitter” is the right descriptor. “Terrifying” is closer. And what’s comical about this is that you know for a fact that if Trump did manage to get back in the White House, all would be forgiven in a nanosecond and Ivanka would be there to write herself into the New Constitution under “lines of lineage” or some such.

Now here’s another portion of the SheKnows article that intrigued me.

According to CNN, Ivanka was so disillusioned with her father’s political career by March 2021 that she “told friends and colleagues of late to not utter anything to do with Washington.” Husband Jared Kushner simultaneously stepped away from Trump’s inner circle of advisors, staying out of “return to politics” strategy meetings that spring.

The gag here is obvious: as long as Ivanka believed that she could and in fact would become a world leader in her own right, and taken seriously as such, she was all for it. She was reportedly considering perhaps even running for the Senate from Florida and maybe becoming president one day herself. When she found out that the reality was actual world leaders tolerating her presence, while they openly laughed at her father, those pipe dreams crashed to the earth and fast.

The rest of the article has her snubbing Daddy on Instagram and assuming a “new beachy persona” as she builds a life on Billionaire Bunker with her $32M house of which $24M is reportedly financed. I guess it’s an achievement to get a bank to give you a mortgage for $24M.

Two scenarios for Donald Trump, come 2024: 1. He loses all four cases, to heavy civil and criminal liability; 2. He miraculously overcomes all obstacles and returns to the White House, this time as Dictator instead of president. And I suppose there are grey areas between these two scenarios, but these are the two extremes.

Here’s one line I especially liked from this article: “Ironically, cutting ties with a political player as soon as their shine starts to dull is a classic Trump family move, but Ivanka, undeterred, would now like to return to being perceived as an apolitical wife and mother, publicly stating that she would be leaving politics behind to spend more time with her children.” And the minute the shine comes back on Donald Trump, assuming it does, then guess who would suddenly find a conscience and realize that her dear father needed her and it was her duty to go to him.

The hypocrisy is so thick you can cut it with a knife.
