Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year old fanatic who killed two people and maimed a third during the Kenosha protests, is now being represented by Sean Hannity’s personal lawyer, L. Lin Wood.

(Warning: Going through the responses to that tweet will take you down some very ugly rabbit holes.)

Wood and his partner, John Pierce are working on Rittenhouse’s behalf. Wood calls himself the “Attorney for the Damned,” and publicly embraces the batshit insane QAnon conspiracy schema.

Wood and Pierce write on their website, Fight Back:

The radical left has taken over mainstream media and they don’t care about truth. They will lie, cancel, and defame anyone who stands in their way. But the truth still matters. And that’s why we bring lawsuits to stop the left’s lies. To defend the truth. To defend freedom. The radical left works overtime to lie and attack conservatives – with little or no one willing to #FightBack. That is, until now. We’re always ready to go to court to do what no one else wants to do: hold the radical left accountable.

Yep. That’s who’s going to be defending poor widdle Kyle, and you already know what kind of defense they are going to mount.

(The website is designed to raise money to “stop the lies and smears of the radical left.” If you think Wood and Pierce intend to monetize the Rittenhouse case for every dime it’s worth, you’re probably not wrong.)

Wood claims he is not a member of QAnon, and says he isn’t quite sure he knows what the conspiracy cult is, but he features the QAnon hashtag WWG1WGA on his Twitter bio page.

He also argues against wearing masks to prevent infection from the COVID-19 virus. Go figure.

Wood defended Nick Sandmann, the poster child for white privilege whom Wood steered into a lucrative settlement with the Washington Post after Sandmann, a student at a nearly-all white high school, allegedly verbally abused a First Nations protester at the Indigenous Peoples March at the Lincoln Memorial. When the Post wrote about Sandmann’s conduct, Sandmann claimed that he had been trying to defend the protester from a barrage of verbal abuse from counterprotesters. Wood swung into action and ultimately convinced the Post to modify their original reporting and agree to an out-of-court settlement.

His partner Pierce has as his clients Rudy Giuliani, Tulsi Gabbard and Carter Page, among others. Pierce was part of the legal team that represented Page in his unsuccessful lawsuit against Hillary Clinton, as well as helping to represent Gabbard in her equally unsuccessful lawsuit against the DNC.

Wood’s client Hannity has a history of defending right-wing killers, including George Zimmerman, who murdered Trayvon Martin, and another murderer in Minnesota, Byron Smith. Hannity is one of several prominent Fox talking heads defending Rittenhouse, including Tucker Carlson. MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell says that Fox News co-owner Rupert Murdoch backs the actions of his hosts, saying that the defense of Rittenhouse and others “is Rupert Murdoch financing vigilantism. This is a conscious business decision made by Rupert Murdoch and his son that this is what they want to tell America.”

  1. What part of cold-blooded premeditated murder don’t these idiots understand? And the kid’s mother ought to get locked up for accessory before the fact AND failure to prevent her minor child from committing a felony. If that’s not a crime, it should be!

  2. Thank you so much Mr Hannity, for reporting the truth! We love and support you! Coming from an immigrant! I was brought to this Country by the American people, and I’m going to stand with them no matter what!
