Nikki Haley had promised Trump that she would not run against him if he decided to run. Trump has announced he is running for president, but – even I must confess, I have very serious questions regarding whether he is really running? Or is he really running to collect as much cash as possible and then pull out? I suspect that Nikki Haley has those same questions even though she has determined that it doesn’t matter.
No, her decision is based primarily on the fact that they’ve had three elections to defeat Democrats and two to defeat Biden and lost them all. Instead of blaming Trump as the most obvious reason, she instead believes that the answer is that the country no longer needs 80-year-old presidents, and it’s time to hand things over to someone her age, 51 years old. She wants to beat Biden. Her reasoning is going to infuriate Trump (From the Video Below)
“It’s bigger than one person. And when you’re looking at the future of America, I think it’s time for new generational change. I don’t think you need to be 80 years old to go be a leader in DC,” Ms Haley said.
“I think we need a young generation to come in, step up, and really start fixing things.”
Oh, and she’s very sick of Mike Pompeo gossiping and lying about her:
“I never had a conversation with Jared, Ivanka, or the president about the vice presidentship. What I will tell you is it’s really sad when you are having to go out there and put lies and gossip to sell a book. I don’t know why [Mike Pompeo] said it, but that’s exactly why I stayed out of D.C. As much as possible to get away from the drama and get away from the gossip. I focused on my job, and that’s what I always did.” – Nikki Haley, last night on Fox News.

You may not need to be in your 80’s to be a leader in D.C. but I would hope the voting public believes you need to have functioning grey matter between your ears as well as some amount of integrity. We can argue about her I.Q. all day long (she’s a ‘pube which immediately allows for the assumption that it is less than 100) but her integrity was tossed into the rubbish bin long ago.
We don’t need lying traitors no matter their age.
Looks like it became clear to her that IF Trump follows through and actually mounts a campaign his VP choice will be either Kari Lake or MTG. As young as she is, even a failed campaign will put her in a good spot for 2028 or 2032. So a training run to shake out all the bugs makes sense. She knows Trump is done. Still has plenty of influence to be sure and he can make her life difficult but the handwriting is on the wall and he’s going to be toast sooner rather than later. Sure, Trump is blowing a gasket over her “betrayal” but there’s one person who will take this even worse. Ron DeSantis. With Haley jumping in others are sure to follow and ole Ron was counting on a clear field against a weakened by legal battles Trump. If I were Haley I’d stay well clear of FL. Even flying over it could be very hazardous to her health!
