You knew it was going to get nutty, right, but I’m going to bet that you weren’t expecting this. Mike Johnson and his GOP ghouls have a plan to shut down the government unless Joe Biden signs a bill that defunds Kamala Harris’ Office of the Vice President. Whut? Oh, yes. It has gotten that strange. It’s Election Day today in Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and Kentucky. Let’s see what the conversation is at the end of today or in the week to come, because it may well have a bearing on this latest GOP grandstanding. NCRM:

U.S. Rep. Mike Collins, a freshman Republican of Georgia, has proposed an amendment “that would halt any funding for Vice President Kamala Harris’ office,” according to The Messenger. Collins has called the Vice President a “Radical” Democrat.

Congressman Collin’s amendment is not the only one proposed to take aim at Democrats and Democratic principles.

“Multiple amendments that were offered targeted funding toward the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, while another by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., proposed reducing Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Commissioner Daniel Werfel’s salary to $1,” Fox News reports. Greene recently complained the House was forcing members to vote on legislation at 1:00 AM.

What’s that you say? Isn’t Mike Collins the genius that blamed the Norfork Southern train wreck in March on diversity, equity and inclusion ideology, (DEI) and not on massive railroad companies throwing hundreds of millions into lobbying politicians, presidents who deregulated the railroad industry, or politicians who imposed corporate friendly contracts on already overworked rail workers? Mike Collins is a visionary, you see, and he understands that grift is never the problem but deep philosophical constructs are. Remember how CRT was all the rage in 2022?

And Collins is not only anti-Kamala Harris, he doesn’t like Pete Buttigieg, either. Maybe Mayor Pete should invite him over to the house as well, when he entertains Mike Johnson.

“Two Offices of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (ODEIA) within the Biden administration are the subject of cost-cutting GOP proposals,” Fox News also reported Tuesday. “An amendment proposed by Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., specified defunding the Treasury’s ODEIA, and a similar amendment by Rep. Harriet Hageman, R-Wyo., hit the Office of Personnel Management.”

The opposite of awake is asleep and evidently the opposite of woke is comatose and moronic. Let’s see where we are in eleven days, as we move towards yet another government shutdown. And you wonder why our credit rating was reduced from AAA to AA+ with these clowns in Congress? Money lenders are serious people as a rule and they only want to lend to other serious people. We don’t have those kinds of people in Congress nowadays — not on the GOP side of the aisle, we don’t. Don’t take our word for it, go ask Mitt Romney or Liz Cheney.
