  1. Oh, yes, they are right…this is soooo funny…that is, unless you are the one in the tub with all the scratches on your body and a cat attached to your leg.
I’ve been dealing all week with a sick kitty, and I really needed this chance to laugh.
    Thanks, Michelle.

    • I’m so sorry you have a sick kitty and I hope the worst is past and the dear thing is recuperating now. You’ve had a very worrying week so I’m so glad you got a chance to laugh today. Laughter is such good medicine!

  2. Thanks for the laughs, Michelle! I confess that I have never attempted to bathe any cat that I’ve had for a pet, and I can’t imagine gathering up the fortitude to attempt it. If my cat absolutely needed a bath, I would probably take her a “professional,” with my own self-protection in mind and so that my kitty wouldn’t hate me afterward. ;>

    • I have bathed a cat but he was very willing and always started purring as soon as I took him out of the water and wrapped him in a towel. Thankfully I haven’t needed to bathe Loula – she’d put up a fight!

  3. Very funny! There is a safe way to bathe a cat that I learned working in a veterinary hospital. Put an oven rack over the tub and put the kitty on it. They can’t walk on it and have to cling to it wherever you put them. It’s also good to have a spray attachment or something to pour the water over them for a rinse to make the process is as quick as possible.

    • Delighted you enjoyed it and what an excellent tip! I’ll be using this if I ever have to bathe Loula!
Hugs from the Furkids and me. ???Rainyj???

  4. Years ago our Minister described the approach they used to bathe their cat, Nebby (Nebuchadnezar): start by wrapping him thoroughly in a large thick bath towel, trapping all legs securely. Wash the towel thoroughly and, incidentally, the cat.
