Originally, the Furkids team prepared this song for mid-May, but then one of the littlies asked if she could stay up long enough to see the harvest moon that night. That’s when we checked the Moon Calendar and discovered… oh dear, there wasn’t going to be a full moon in the sky that night, not even close. It would be a new moon rising, a very new moon, so very little of it would be visible at all.
There was no time to lose! We had to hustle to put another song together so we could save “Harvest Moon” for a more appropriate date! A quick study of the Moon Calendar affirmed that August 22 would be the ideal day.Â
Back in mid-May, August 22 seemed a long way off but here we are already! My but time passes quickly when you’re having fun with the Furkids!
