The Funday Furkids team have observed that most hoomins classify kitties, doggies (aka goggies or woozles) and birdees by breed and colouring. This puzzles them. They themselves know there are these different classes but they rarely think about it. In fact, they are rather proud of the fact that they are not specieist (though they recognize that many furkids are by nature), not breedist and not colourist.
That is not to say that they do not categorize themselves, they do. As you will see in their TEDdy talk today, their categories are based more on personal specialties and style. It’s all about how they express their inner kittenness, doggieness and birdeeness.
There are hundreds of these furkid classifications so I asked the team to narrow it down. “Fud” is by far the biggest category because every furkid is classified by a stupefying number of subgroups. These are largely based on likes and dislikes with further sub-subgroups concerning such criteria as quantity, quality, timing, container, location, position etc, ad infinitum. We therefore decided to move onto less complicated categories and ones that a hoomin audience would readily recognize. After much discussion, they finally narrowed it down to 5 placement and 2 activity categories with subgroups where applicable.
{{{Michelle}}} *much* better classifications than the hoomin ones. ???? moar {{{HUGS}}}
I think critters have a lot more sense than hoomins. Moar love and hugs to you and scritches to Charlie, Cloud, Freddie, Bobbie, Murf and Rennie. ???
Love, love, love this! Thanks so much, Michelle!
