The handwriting was on the wall when Fox News jumped off the Big Lie bandwagon because they didn’t want to incur any more legal problems than they already had. Donald Trump was not happy with that. He taunted Fox News, “remember who put you where you are.”
Unlike Trump, Fox News knows when to call it a day and move on. They’ve moved on to Ron DeSantis. Interesting that they’re making the move right now, because Trump is anticipated to announce that he’s running sooner rather than later, possibly in September.

Now as you heard, one of these “random” Trump voters came up with the idea that Trump could run as DeSantis’ vice president. That sent my fevered brain into a frenzy. Here’s my awful fantasy: What if Trump did run with DeSantis, got elected and then had his pals off DeSantis? Then he could finish our DeSantis’ term and still be able to run for another term himself.
Does that not make your blood run cold? Could you not die hearing that?
The “reality” of the situation is that Trump would never run as DeSantis’ side kick unless he had it on total assurances from his minions that DeSantis would only be around a short time, And DeSantis would have to be a lunatic to agree to such an arrangement. He knows Trump as well as we do. He would have to know what is coming.
And here’s the kicker: Trump will be 78 in 2024. He will be 82 in 2028. And he will be 86 in 2032.

Without THEM his career in elective politics would have flamed out early. Fox however knew how well Jerry Springer shit played and how well it paid so they gave Trump a platform. And the other major outlets followed suit, but from where I sit it was Fox and more specifically Ruppert Murdoch who made Trump. They’d been flying high since back when Trump was pro-choice and inviting the Clintons to shindigs!

Yeah, but that would require the Impulse-on-Steroids that is Donald Trump to be patient enough (hah!) to wait TWO FULL YEARS to do it since the Constitutional provision also places a limit of TEN YEARS TOTAL for a President. He’s already been there for four years. Another successful run would earn him another four years. That’s eight years total. He’s only allowed a maximum of two additional years. Serving as Death Santis’s #2 means he’d have to wait 2 years before putting Death Santis out of commission.
Trump could never do that.

Your premise is flawed because as far as Trump is concerned the Constitution means whatever the President says it does – assuming of course HE is President! Seriously though, multiple times he asserted powers are granted to the Executive that are absolute and controlling over everything. It was breath taking, putting even Nixon’s “When the President does it it’s not illegal” statement to shame. But as far as Trump was concerned he had power over everything. Greater than a king. Greater than god. Or even Ming the Merciless from the Flash Gordon stuff!
