We may not have Woodward and Bernstein in this generation but we have Michael Avenatti and Adam Schiff and that may actually be a better deal. Schiff doubled down yesterday calling Rudy Giuliani a propagandist. ABC’s This Week:
RADDATZ: I want your reaction, just a short time ago, Rudy Giuliani said on Fox News that all of this is like Watergate.
SCHIFF: Well it is like Watergate in the sense that you had a break-in at the Democratic headquarters, in this case, a virtual one, not a physical break in, and you had a president as part of a cover-up, and here you have a president doing a different kind of cover-up.
You have a president peddling these falsehoods, and you have essentially people putting out propaganda like Rudy Giuliani to further that fiction. It is, I think, of a size and scope probably beyond Watergate, just not the Watergate the president is referring to.
That tee’d the ball up for Avenatti’s one-two punch to Giuliani.
Dazed & Confused Giuliani and Mr. Trump’s fabricated “spygate” will be the ruse they use to deceive the American people and shut down the Mueller investigation. But WE are not going away. And WE will not be shut down. Ever. #BuckleUp #LongHaul #Basta

DJT promised the American people the “best and the brightest” and delivered…Dazed & Confused Giuliani. Ignorant of the facts. Doesn’t know the law. Hasn’t tried a case this century. He’s a glorified puppet with zero credibility. And a complete joke. #Basta

Ouch.
Avenatti also tweeted about a Business Insider article about his loyal Twitter followers, who suggest that Avenatti do everything from making shirtless appearances on TV to running for president.
You gotta fight fire with Fire. He’s out-thugging them at every turn. Drumpf plays dirty and he’s finally met his match.

Chump and Cohen are scared of him, and that’s really what matters for the moment…

If it seems like the Washington Post has something going against Avenatti, they were only one of many media outlets who were taken aback by Avenatti’s threat to sue The Daily Caller.
Speaking to The Post’s Margaret Sullivan, Avenatti said the backlash from The Daily Caller releasing the email was a “learning experience,” adding that he probably wouldn’t threaten to sue a publication in the future.
Still, Avenatti said “there is nothing wrong with me calling them out on it,” when he believes reporting is either inaccurate or unfair.
And on Monday, Avenatti seemed to do just that, tweeting about how an attorney in a lawsuit has “never before” been “personally attacked to this degree on issues that have nothing to do with the lawsuit or who he reps.”
Avenatti’s twitter thread contained these gems.
Trump can be indicted & THIS IS THE TIME TO INDICT A SITTING #MOBSTER #TRAITOR PRESIDENT !!!
DOJ Guidelines are just that … GUIDELINES NOT LAWS, NOT LEGAL PRECEDENCE !!#Mueller just presents his sealed #Indictment of Trump to #Rosenstein for approval, RESULT = #TrumpIndicted pic.twitter.com/If3TAiZVaO

The Avenatti-Giuliani fracas is only just starting. Remember, Giuliani called Avenatti a “pimp.” Trump, on the other hand, remains curiously silent. Trump hasn’t tweet bashed Avenatti yet, or said anything to the press about him. Scared? The calm before the Twitter tempest? All we can be certain of is, we ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
