I don’t know Devin Nunes middle name but it should be Litigious. He just loves to sue Twitter for making fun of him with Devin Nunes Cow and Devin Nunes Mom and has also sued CNN, Esquire, Washington Post, and McClatchy. And now NBC. If you know how he affords all this litigation on a congressman’s salary, would you tell the rest of us? Bloomberg:

Nunes specifically complained about statements Maddow made during her March 18 cable-TV show — and repeated on YouTube, Twitter and her blog — that he refused to give the FBI a package he’d received from a suspected Russian agent, according to the complaint filed by the congressman Tuesday in federal court in Sherman, Texas.

Instead, Nunes claims, MSNBC and Maddow knew prior to that broadcast that Nunes had told other reporters he voluntarily gave the FBI a package the suspected agent sent to him through the congressional committee. He said the fact Maddow didn’t ask him for comment before publishing the false statements is proof of actual malice.

“MSNBC and Maddow harbor an institutional hostility, hatred, extreme bias, spite and ill-will towards plaintiff due to plaintiff’s emergence as the most prominent skeptic in Congress of Maddow’s marquee news narrative from 2017 to 2019: that the Trump campaign colluded with Russians to hack the 2016 presidential elections,” Nunes’ lawyers said in the complaint.

Nunes is very upset that Maddow has spoken of Nunes conspiring with a Russian agent to rig the 2016 election. Nunes calls this defamation. It ain’t if it’s true.

Nunes, who is the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, says Maddow has repeatedly targeted him with defamatory statements that accuse him of obstruction of justice and treason. Nunes said Maddow has also called for him to lose his committee post and be stripped of his security clearances.

This is going to be good. I wonder how Rachel Maddow will report this, since now she is the news? Guess we’ll find out.

Help keep the site running, consider supporting.

  1. Funny he does this while Rachel is on vacation. I hope she uses discovery to rid us of this petulant traitor and filthy liar for good.

  2. You know the old saying that one shouldn’t engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed person? Well, I think in this case it’s flipped around – a person with no wits shouldn’t engage in a battle with a Rhoades Scholar. Maddow has been at her job a long time. She also hires great staff. And they are careful. I recall two or three years back there was a “huge” story being circulated in political news coverage circles. She reported the existence of a story floating around but held back all details. Clearly something about it seemed off to her and her staff. Turns out they were right to check, and do a deep and careful investigation. It turned out the “documentation” was bogus – and the whole thing was a carefully crafted attempt from some conservative(s) to play “gotcha” with mainstream journalists.

I say all that because I’d be truly shocked if Maddow and/or her people don’t have “receipts” on their reporting. Including proof that they DID in fact reach out to Nunes and his people for comment. Does this dumbass really think otherwise? Or that he can intimidate Rachael Maddow into backing off?

I love this site, but it’s not the only blog I read. In particular, every Friday night I eagerly await ten pm for the dropping of ShowerCap’s weekly blog post of his take on the week’s news and I’m certain he will have a thing or two to say about Devin “Pig Fucker” Nunes.

  3. Something tells me, she has good resources, and as one of the truth, rather that gas lighting us reporters, her fame does not come from continuous lies like the House Republicans …

“GYM” J. and Nunes are two of the most freaking stupid people in Congress, with Matt Gates to hell, wandering around, trying to make his girlfriend’s age unimportant, and then trying to white wash his history of Pedophilia …

Where DO we start with the firehoses?

  4. I have the feeling that this is going to be like all his other legal suits: a loud start, followed by a loooooong fade to silence.

And no one seems to know how he can afford his lawyer and all those suits that have been filed.

  5. I’m willing to bet that NBC has more lawyers than Devin Numbnuts has cows.
They will dispatch him quickly, though they should counter-sue and bleed him dry.

  6. Why did it take him so long to file his suit. It take him this long to find a replacement to his position of trump asskisser. OF course the pissant did it. That’s why he’s mad. Sooner or later he’s going to get caught playing his little game of subterfuge. My only wish is to be there to see it.
