Trump spoke to a group of natural gas workers in Hackberry, Louisiana, and it was pure Gaslighting 101.
“Under my administration we have ended the assault on our wonderful energy workers (applause) and you are under assault…Now they talk about the Green New Deal. The Green New Deal. Everybody go home, you just lost your Jobs. The Green New Deal, that’s a hoax like the hoax I just went through. Under that deal, everybody in this room gets fired. All of the thousands of guys and women standing in these buildings get fired, they go because under the Green New Deal, they don’t like clean, beautiful natural gas. They don’t like anything. They don’t know what they like.”
Now, here’s where it gets nuts:
“They sort of like wind even though it kills all the birds.”
“You want to see a bird cemetery? Go under a windmill sometime. You will see the saddest, you got every type of bird. You know, in California you go to jail for five years if you kill a bald eagle. You go under a windmill, you see them all over the place. Not a good situation.”
And of course he got in a crack, how if the wind isn’t blowing, you can’t watch television, the abysmally ignorant preaching to the easily deluded. Remarkably, he didn’t say anything about windmills causing cancer. Maybe he didn’t remember that lie. When you’ve told over 10,000 of them, I imagine it’s hard to keep it all straight.

The deluded misfits are worse. They put Trump where he is. When I was watching the YouTube video to get the dialogue, there were commenters on the side. There were so many loving comments, about how Trump is cleaning the place up, doing great things — exactly one hundred eighty degrees opposite is the truth. I’m appalled.
I did comfort myself a little by reminding myself that every president has his supporters and detractors. While I thought the Reaganites and Bushies were deluded, I never thought they were certifiably nuts. I do of the Trumpites.
Early on in this national nightmare of the Trump crime syndicate, talking to people here and there, too often I heard, so what?, would you rather have that fucking Clinton in office? Um? and what would have been such a disaster about that, pray tell? they have no viable response, none whatsoever…I always got the vibe that it was because she was a woman, forget the fact that the grifter celebrity mobster in the WH is shitting on them, conspiring with foreign enemies to undermine our country, stealing us blind, bankrupting the United States for forever and ever, and everything else him and his scumfuckery, it just seemed to be a sexist thing. I don’t care if it’s a man, a woman, white, black, pink, purple, what or whoever, it boggles the mind that anyone could or would support him, in anything. You know, Carol, when I listen to either Trump or Fox, I cannot believe that there are people so effing stupid to actually believe what is being said. But, my God, look at the numbers of people who voted for Trump — 63 million?
