Careful what you wish for and even more so than that, careful what you gripe about to the heavens on social media. You might find it backfiring, bigly. Ask Donald Trump. He demonized the judge in the hush money trial on the very first day, claiming wrongly that the judge would not let him attend his son’s graduation. That was not true. What the judge said when court convened was that he would revisit the issue after the trial was underway and make a decision closer to the May 17 date. It was pointed out on social media that any judge in America would have handled the issue in an identical fashion.
Today, Judge Juan Merchan, true to his word, did revisit the issue of Trump attending Barron’s high school graduation and His Honor agreed to suspend the trial for that day. So that means, in essence, that Trump has to show up to his son’s graduation, whether he wants to or not — or look really bad for all the complaining. Twitter is of course having a field day with all this.
Judge knows Trump doesn't want to go and he was faking outrage. Now, he's gotta go. 🤣 I wonder if he will actually show up and sit there for a couple of hours watching kids get their diplomas.

In all seriousness, this could turn into Melania’s Mom’s Funeral Take Two. Melania was quite furious at Donald that day. The photo of her snarling something at him when he went to get into the limo with her went viral soon after it was posted. It’s entirely possible that she did not want him at the funeral and that she would also prefer he not be at the graduation.
And why? Because anything Donald attends becomes about him. He’s the star. If Donald’s at the graduation it won’t be about the kids and Barron as one of the kids, it will be about Donald Trump. Especially since he went out of his way to gripe that he was forbidden from attending when no such thing happened.
Trump simply should not have even brought up the graduation. If it had been a non-issue, then he could have quietly asked to attend, maybe even off the record, but that’s not his style. So he may end up with a pissed off Melania, once again.
And actually, I can’t say as how I blame her. She’s probably trying to have some kind of a normal life for her son, insofar as that’s possible. The kid is a Trump and all this sheer madness is going on as he grows up. That’s simply the way it all happened. But certainly you can’t blame Melania if she wants to have the events in Barron’s life not be tainted by all this tabloid nonsense, or least minimized. Barron’s father, on the other hand, doesn’t think about things in those terms.
Trump will be forced to show up, though. He might have gotten away with a quiet game of golf and maybe given his kid a gold watch at dinner that night or something. But now it will be a scene.
As I’ve said before, if I was Barron I would go to school abroad and just build a life away from the circus that is his father’s side of the family. But maybe the rumors are right and he wants to go to college in New York. If that’s the case, then he can be here for the spectacle of his father going through the rest of his criminal trials and quite probably being sentenced to do time from one of them, at the very least.
That’s his choice, certainly. If it was me, I would split.
Whether he likes it or not, Barron is a Trump.
It’s up to him if he wants to be like Mary Trump, or his brothers.
I feel.sorry for the kid. He got dragged to D.C. at 12. Then halfway through high school, he got dragged to.Florida. That sort of disruption is difficult enough for a normal kid, but he is Trump’s son.
I agree that going to.college in Canada or Europe would be the smartest move he can make, followed by grad school in a non political major or STEM discipline. Maybe talk to Mary Trump and get a lot of therapy. A d go.no contact with Daddy Dearest. The one good thing Melanoma has done is to keep him out of the public eye and probably his siblings.
Pity the poor ketchup bottles down there in FL. With Trump up in NYC they thought they were safe. And the staff was probably looking forward to an easy day. But when “Melanie” got the news Trump would be their shitting all over Barron’s big day does anyone doubt she reacted just like Trump would? Someone should start a formal Save the Mar A Lago Ketchup Bottles movement. LP or Meidas can have a grand time making an ASPCA type ad about saving a poor bottle of ketchup from Trump cruelty.
