The wheels of justice are grinding right along here. It’s Friday, October 21, 2022. As you no doubt heard, Steve Bannon was sentenced to four months in prison plus a $6,500 fine. Bannon gets to be the political martyr he always wanted to be. Maybe he’ll do a Marquis de Sade number and write a manifesto on the bedsheets with his own blood, you think? Frankly, he’s not that dedicated.

And Donald Trump has been subpoenaed by the January 6 Committee. That has gotten his ire, naturally, and stoked the conspiracy theory engines.

This is how it shapes up: On one side, the January 6 Committee wants to make Trump accountable, on the other side, Trump intends to ride the fantasy train through all of his travails and have his MAGA base cough up plenty of money to pay for the trip.

I find the “we will never know, will we?” to be an open ended statement of how bat guano this entire mess is going to become.

Maybe NARA planted the 11,780 votes that Trump was desperate for Georgia to find?

Trump is very much on the ballot this November. Maybe George Conway is right. Maybe we’re about to see the biggest meltdown of all public meltdowns.

Or, will Trump invite the FBI back to Mar-a-Lago to reinspect, and at that point disgorge other documents which are now hidden? His lawyers would probably like for him to do that.

Stay tuned.

  1. Oh, doesn’t everyone already realize that his “offer”, totally unnecessary for the DOJ/FBI to go back to MAL, is another “look here, not there” ploy? Just another delaying tactic.

  2. Who knows you flaming ball of shit? We all do. All except your cult. Better yet more comes out daily. Cue up the music from Jaws as the DOJ has no option but eat you alive. Keep flailing.

  3. It would be easy to dismiss Trump as someone who is certifiable and ready for the rubber room, which may be, but do not discount the fact that he is quite shrewd in his own dishonest way and knows exactly what inferences, insinuatons and lies appeal strongly to his base.
