Perhaps the biggest news contained in the following tweet is that Rep. Eric Swalwell (D) California is not taking too seriously presumptive incoming House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s recent threat to remove him from his assigned committees once the razor-thin Republican majority is sworn in next month, but is actively planning what he and his fellow democrats plan to do to counter the lies, propaganda and disinformation that the GOP will package and try to sell to the American people as “oversight”.

Case in point, as presented in the clip, is a scene from last week’s House Judiciary meeting wherein GOP Congress-critter Gym Jordan tries to sell the proposition that the former Resident, who once stated that he only wanted “Jews” to count his money, cannot be anti-Semitic no matter how many anti-Semites like Kayne West he has over to Mar-A-Lardo for dinner. Swalwell pulls Jordan up short by reminding him that he sent out, from the House GOP Judiciary Twitter account, a tweet linking West to the former Shit-bag, as well as to another pal of West, Elon Musk…

Exactly right, sunflower, but Jordan and his gavel will do everything they can to prevent that.

  1. Since when has the truth and facts mattered one iota to the ‘pubes and in particular to the magats? The q kooks did not get to be so numerous by believing actual truth or facts you know.

  2. Unless that right-hand picture of the boats (in the “mental capacity and intelligence” comparison) was a close-up of a toy canoe, it vastly overstates Jordan’s “mental capacity and intelligence.” In fact, Jordan’s would be much closer to one of the little toy pieces in a game of “Battleship.”

    • A long, long time ago back when dinosaurs ruled the earth I got my higher education at a university in a nearby town – Southern Illinois University, Carbondale (IL) It was a lovely place, and in fact when the school expanded into a major university the renowned Buckminster Fuller was around and his influence helped create the lovely, sprawling campus. One of his famed Geodesic Domes sits on South Illinois Drive just off campus. He also had an interest in boats and experimented with propulsion starting as a kid. As such, although he was well past regular participation in activities at SIU I’m sure he heartily approved of the initiation of what became a well-known (and imitated around the world now) “Cardboard Regatta on Campus Lake at SIU. It’s still quite popular. The concept is that entrants build a cardboard boat and try to make it through the course. Some boats are laughably (literally, especially when they predictably sink) basic and some are ingenious. It’s a design contest to be sure but mostly a helluva lot of fun both for the “sailors” and the folks watching every year. The rules? Pretty simple:
“Create a boat entirely of corrugated cardboard of any thickness and hold it together with glue, caulk, tape or similar substances and add some simple waterproofing. Then, see if the board can make it through the full course”

Prizes are given to the top three who manage to finish the course in each category (mainly differentiated by propulsion methods) but there’s also an award for “The most Spectacular Sinking.” The whole thing started in the early 1970s so it was quite new when I went to school. And some of the boats (and their occupants) were shall we say not exactly up for a successful voyage. From barely able to walk (as in drunk or high) competitors to dudes who showed up with a cardboard appliance box cut down so they had room to paddle (or try too), sometimes without even any duct tape on the seams/corners or a coat of paint there WERE sinkings that were quick, spectacular and funny as hell. It might not (as indicated in the video) have been the original purpose but the spirit of the even quickly made it popular and even cool to the professors that started the whole thing as a final exam for design students!

Jordan’s “boat” would be one of those early drunken frat boy spur of the moment entrants – a simple box, using only hands for a paddle(s) that would start filling with water even before the starting horn sounded and wind up sinking in seconds. The funniest part was that some of these drunken idiots were actually surprised!

  3. The best way to handle Jm Joran is to put him n defense. Keep him so busy defending himself that he doesn’t have time to spread lies about others.

    • Yes, why has he never been investigated for neglecting the abuse of the Ohio State students??
Gym Jordan is a noxious creep. John Boehner described him as an arsonist, only interested in burning things down without trying to build anything up. It depresses me to think we’ll have to listen to his ravings for the next two years and watch him try to sleeze Dems. So gross.
