You know, if this is what Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis is like at home, no wonder his wife is so damn glad to see him wandering around in Iowa for a few days! In the world of digital media, nobody remembers that we used to play records, on machines with needles, and every once in a while, the needle got stuck, playing the same damn word over and over again.

Fortunately the media who had the unenviable task of following a sniveling, monotonous, emotionless little pipsqueak all over the half frozen hinterlands of Iowa must have had a pretty good idea of what they were getting into. Because they made a game out of it.

And they got it. In his rambling two speeches today to a few thousand stumpy rustics, Ron DeSantis managed to slobber out the word woke more than 400 times! For context, just imagine me typing the word woke 400 times on this page. He reminds me of the aliens in John Carpenter’s They Live, where invisible speakers keep intoning the subliminal message, Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. And I think that secretly that’s what Pissantis is trying to do, narcotize his audiences.

But Pissantis is just flat out ridiculous. No matter what definition he assigns to the word woke, DeSantis can’t even keep that straight. After all, simple common sense that the word woke indicates a A state of consciousness. How can a company be woke? How can a book be woke? How can an agenda be woke? Its seems to me that the only item on the planet, whether animate or inanimate air Ron DeSantis!

The reason for this wokemania is obvious. When you’re trying to launch a campaign of culture war against anyone who isn’t whiter than sour cream, and as straight as an arrow, you have to have a catch phrase. And that’s what the GOP has with its woke obsession. It can cover anything from Disney to CRT, Same sex families to BLM. That’s the Tantric Chant for the 2024 GOP.

But there’s just one problem. Pretty much nobody else in the country understands the word woke under the GOP’s definition. In a new poll published by USA Today, the word seems to have a different definition to anybody outside of the FUX News bubble sphere.

According to the poll, USA Today found that

  • Fifty-six percent of those surveyed say the term means “to be informed, educated on, and aware of social injustices.” That includes not only three-fourths of Democrats but also more than a third of Republicans.
  • Overall, 39% say instead that the word reflects what has become the GOP political definition, “to be overly politically correct and police others’ words.” That’s the view of 56% of Republicans.

See, there’s the chink in Pissantis’ armor. As long as DeSantis is speaking to mindless droids of the FUX bubble sphere, the word woke is like the word Klamatz, it can mean whatever he wants it to mean, and everybody sings along. And so he uses it more than 400 times in one day to give the sheeple their fix.

But what happens if Pissantis actually wins the GOP nomination for President? Pissantis is going to have to campaign on a national platform. And Pissantis is a committed to wokeness as a true believer is to self flagellation. Which presents a problem.

Because when moderate and independent voters keep hearing him mumble drone about wokeness, they’re getting a completely different definition that DeSantis means. And their natural reaction is going to be, What’s wrong with black children being woke to learning the true history of their heritage? What’s wrong with libraries being woke to offer a full spectrum of opinions on their shelves? What’s wrong with companies being woke to the sensitivities of their employees and customers?

That’s the problem, not only for DeSantis, but also for the GOP. In order to try to motivate a base that they can no longer motivate by abortion, they have to be aroused by something else. And wokeness is what they’ve come up with. The problem is that the word has one meaning for MAGAT’s, and another totally different meaning to the world that can tie its shoes. And when DeSantis morphs it into a brand new word, WOKEaucracy, I rest my case.

  1. I wonder how Trump can compete with this new spread of a Republican fantasy, oh, wait, how many terms have escaped from the nasty lips of the too late to change Shit gibbon?

Too numerous to list, I guess if Trump gets away with it Piss-assents can do his thing, but as you have counted, this term is wearing thin enough to let the whole world see what a dingus he really is …
