The Dotard couldn’t be near as big an asshole without a big, but not so able assist from the worst speechwriter to ever collect a government paycheck in American Presidential history, that always predictably histrionic, despicable and fascistic hack… Stephen Miller.

Stephen Santa Monica Goebbels Miller may have grown up in California but in temperament and styling has more in common with another odd looking and racist little man from Deliverence country, the former Senator from Alabama Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, who was drumpf’s first Attorney General and who, like Trump, was too abjectly stupid to recognize that Miller could not write a laundry ticket, let alone a cogent political speech, and so first hired him to do just that.

Miller and Sessions shared a common morbid preoccupation with the thought that America, in the 20th and 21st Century, was functioning exactly as it was meant to, striving, in its ever much less than satisfactory, contentious and sometimes heinous manner, to create an egalitarian society of the enslaved, dispossessed and exploited peoples under the thumb of their pasty faced brethren – and much to their mutual dismay.

So they worked together before Trump ever disgraced Washington D.C., teaming up to defeat the 2013 comprehensive immigration bill, introduced by the bipartisan “gang of eight” in the Senate.

“Sessions has long been a critic of legalizing undocumented immigrants, and has pushed to curtail immigration to the United States, in part by constructing a wall along the southern U.S. border. In fact, he has spent his two-decade career in Congress working to thwart immigration reform bills from both the right and left, with Miller coming on as an adviser in 2009 to join that effort. When the so-called Gang of Eight introduced a bipartisan immigration reform bill in 2013, Sessions played a key role in killing it; when the bill passed the Senate, his aide Miller literally wrote the 23-page handbook that House members were given on how to fight the deal.

It’s no coincidence these positions sound a lot like a certain Republican presidential nominee. After donning a “Make American Great Again” hat at a Trump rally in Mobile, Alabama, in August 2015, Sessions became the first sitting senator to endorse Trump, a key adviser as chair of Trump’s national security committee (even defending his call for a Muslim ban as a push toward an “appropriate” national debate) and one of Trump’s biggest advocates and translators on Capitol Hill. Miller, meanwhile, was hired by the campaign at the beginning of this year as a senior policy adviser. On the trail, he’s become Trump’s unlikely warm-up act at rallies, offering a routine filled with table-thumping populism, while behind the scenes helping to shape Trump’s immigration and foreign policies. The young adviser, whom colleagues describe as having a “mind-meld” with the candidate, wrote Trump’s convention speech accepting the GOP nomination, as well as the August foreign policy speech in which the candidate introduced a plan to screen immigrants and suspend immigration from countries with “a history of exporting terrorism.” Miller was also one of the campaign’s early go-betweens with the inflammatory pro-Trump news site Breitbart.”

Flush with this “success” Miller caught the attention of right wing media figures and fans of drumpf who would soon propel him into heart of the MAGA brain trust, deplorables such as Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Lou Dobbs, and the late Andrew Breitbart who early recognized the depth of Miller’s hatred for classic, if fitful, American values such as welcoming of immigration and respect for the cultures and traditions immigrants brought to our country, and so was the perfect fit for their… er… man.

After the disaster of November 2016 it was Miller who crayoned drumpf’s “American Carnage” inaugural speech, a rancid and distorted cartoon-like misrepresentation of the then current American cultural landscape, an America Miller and Trump would set out to obliterate with their Muslim bans, border walls, baby snatching, or ally bashing and all the rest of it.

The U.S. proved resilient though, and after suffering these fools for four long and ugly years, marshaled the will to flush them from the body politic in 2020.

Trump unfortunately is not done with us just yet and has gotten his band, including Banjo Boy Miller, back together for a 2024 assault on the Oval Office, a quest described at The Atlantic Magazine.

“Former president donald trump gripped the CPAC lectern as he workshopped a new sales pitch: “I stand here today, and I’m the only candidate who can make this promise: I will prevent—and very easily—World War III.” (Wild applause.) “And you’re gonna have World War III, by the way.” (Confused applause.)

It was just one in a string of ominous sentences that the 45th president offered tonight during his nearly two-hour headlining speech at the annual conservative conference, which for years prided itself on its ties to Ronald Reagan but is now wholly intertwined with Trumpism, if little else. Yet even amid cultish devotion, Trump seemed bored, listless, and unanimated as he spoke to a sprawling hotel ballroom that was only three-quarters full.

For much of the speech, Trump’s voice took on more of a soft and haggard whisper than the booming, throaty scream that characterized his campaign rallies. His language, by contrast, was bellicose. Tonight’s address was among the darkest speeches he has given since his “American carnage” inaugural address. Trump warned that the United States is becoming “a nation in decline” and a “crime-ridden, filthy communist nightmare.” He spoke of an “epic battle” against “sinister forces” on the left. He repeatedly painted himself as a martyr, a tragic hero still hoping for redemption. “They’re not coming after me; they’re coming after you, and I’m just standing in their way,” Trump told the room. He pulled out his best, half-hearted Patton: “We are going to finish what we started. We’re going to complete the mission. We’re going to see this battle through to ultimate victory.” He was heavy on adjectives, devastating with nouns. “We will liberate America from these villains and scoundrels once and for all,” he said.”

I am just foolish enough to believe that this country will reject Act II of the Trump/Miller collaboration and in time shake off the disease of nativism, bigotry and hatred they represent and continue, after their vile interregnum, it’s quest for a more perfect Union.

But do not hold me to that promise… I have been wrong before.
