Einstein said that there were two things that were limitless, the universe and stupidity and he wasn’t sure about the universe. He never met Donald Trump, or the line would have been “the universe, stupidity and Trump’s insanity — and I’m not sure about the universe or stupidity.” Trump left the White House today to go to Texas and he told reporters that he had no personal responsibility in inciting the siege on the Capitol. In fact, everything he said had been “analyzed” and it was “totally appropriate.” Now we know who’s calling the shots for appropriate behavior in this country, Newsmax, Breitbart, OAN and Epoch Times. That’s who’s doing this lunatic’s thinking for him.

Now while Mr. Blameless goes to Texas — where Lin Wood and right-wing media are saying he might just stage a military takeover — here is what else is appearing on right-wing sites.

They are boarding up windows in the Wisconsin Capitol.

From Charlie Sykes morning newsletter:

“House Democrats Briefed On 3 Terrifying Plots To Overthrow Government.” Via Huffpo:

WASHINGTON ― Capitol Police briefed Democrats on Monday night about three more potentially gruesome demonstrations planned in the coming days, with one plot to encircle the U.S. Capitol and assassinate Democrats and some Republicans.

On a private call Monday night, new leaders of the Capitol Police told House Democrats they were closely monitoring three separate plans that could pose serious threats to members of Congress as Washington prepares for Democrat Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration on Jan. 20.

The first is a demonstration billed as the “largest armed protest ever to take place on American soil.”

Another is a protest in honor of Ashli Babbitt, the woman killed while trying to climb into the Speaker’s Lobby during Wednesday’s pro-Trump siege of the Capitol.

And another demonstration, which three members said was by far the most concerning plot, would involve insurrectionists forming a perimeter around the Capitol, the White House and the Supreme Court, and then blocking Democrats from entering the Capitol ― perhaps even killing them ― so that Republicans could take control of the government.

This is what’s happening. This is the plan. I wrote about this yesterday when I had occasion to speak to my young friend in Texas. This is what her father has been telling her and this is what Lin Wood put on Twitter.

And the Republicans are hiding. They are desperately hoping to just run out the clock on the Trump presidency, while a domestic terrorism unit — and those are the words of former Texas state senator Wendy Davis — is gathering for a coup.

We are at a flashpoint in American history folks, and that is understatement.

I hope it ends up like the protest at twitter headquarters.

I would venture to say that tRump is a walking example of infinite stupidity, combined with insanity. What a combo!

To quote Peter Cushing in Frankenstein And The Monster From Hell, “He believes himself to be God. He’s not the first to hold that delusion.”

Trump doesn’t give a damn about the people who died at the US Capitol on January 6th nor anything else that might occur due to his inflammatory speeches. All he cares about is himself and his “stolen election”.

Trump also wants to stay in power because he knows that there are multiple criminal indictments waiting for him on Jan 20 at noon! If all of his seditionist plots fail, I think he will flee the country to avoid prosecution on Jan 19th.

They WILL all fail. Everything he has ever been involved with does. Even winning in 2016 was a failure to burnish his brand for a new TV show.

“What I said was totally appropriate” (yep – to start a riot)
“It was a perfect phone call” (yep – to blackmail a foreign government)

“It’s not my fault that because I said ‘Go and fight’ that people actually BELIEVED me”

As a disabled veteran of the US Navy, US Army, & retired Police Officer, I’m proud to be a liberal Democrat. That said, I’d like to remind the right wing fascists that we also have the right to defend our government from their racism, hate, sexism, and greed. I’ve got my LTC.

Totally appropriate? Cool. Then the charges leveled at Trumpty dumpty will be totally appropriate as well. Hope they wait to file them until after dumb-a*s is out of office. I’d hate to risk him self-pardoning his silly self out of all the fun he’ll have in club fed.
