I love science fiction and fantasy as a genre, it’s my very favorite. But I prefer politics stay in the realm of what’s actual and seeable and countable, and leave the realm of illusion to the scenarists. Rudy Giuliani, however, doesn’t seem to know the difference. He attended a meeting in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania Wednesday, described as a hearing on irregularities in the 2020 election. While speaking before a panel, Rudy actually said that Donald Trump “may” have won in Virginia. That will be big news to them, because Trump lost by over 450,000 votes.

It is another battle, indeed. And Rudy has his share of battles right now. Bloomberg:
The campaign has asked the federal appeals court in Philadelphia for an emergency injunction blocking the “the effects” of certification while it seeks to revive the lawsuit. In a filing on Tuesday asking the court to deny the motion, Pennsylvania officials, who certified Biden’s victory on Tuesday, were quick to point out that it’s unclear what the relief the campaign is seeking even means.
Doing political theater to entertain the base is not cheap. But apparently it’s necessary to keep the grifting wheels greased. Expect more of the same. Less than two months now before Biden moves in.
