Remember the scene in The Ruling Class, where Peter O’Toole climbs up on a crucifix over the mantlepiece every night to sleep, because he’s convinced himself he’s Jesus Christ? Donald Trump is apparently preparing to posture himself as a martyr as well, because he’s given two clues of it just today. One is that he just fired the head of cybersecurity who said that the election was secure. That means he’s doubling down and ready to go full Deep State on his voter fraud scam, even though there is no evidence to support it.
…votes from Trump to Biden, late voting, and many more. Therefore, effective immediately, Chris Krebs has been terminated as Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.

Krebs expected it and so did everybody else. And then there’s this.
Our @kaitlancollins @Kevinliptakcnn and @KateBennett_DC report that Trump is considering cancelling his planned trip to Mar-a-Lago for Thanksgiving, which an aide described as his "bunker mentality" post-election loss.

These two themes put together would seem to indicate that Trump is still refusing to deal with reality. And it’s not because of his delusional thinking. It’s because he needs to make some serious cash after he leaves the White House and that’s going to be Trump TV, which will most likely be a streaming service online. Or, he may broker some kind of a deal with Newsmax or OANN — or both.
If you want to know what’s going to happen next, channel your inner screenwriter and see what you think would make for maximum political theater and generate the most outrage in MAGAt world and that is what you will see. That is how Trump is thinking and that’s the course of action he’s going to take. Of that much, you may be certain.
If it somehow benefited him to concede to Biden, he would do it tonight. In his mind, the way to go is to hang on and publicize his lawsuits. And he might do that until January 20, when he is walked out of the White House. He may choose to be walked out of the White House, because that, guaranteed, will attract major ratings. The world will be watching that spectacle. And there is no shame in it for Trump, if it gins up the base and gets the donations flowing and the subscriptions sold to Trump TV. That’s the end game. There is no other. This is the Church of Trump we’re talking about, and he needs your money more than you do, so tithe away MAGAts.
From now until he gets walked out of the White House, Trump will do everything he can to create the persona of Trump the Martyr, who is the true ruler of Amerikka, now temporarily in political exile but soon to resurrected in 2024. And his legal problems will all be framed in the context of persecution. Expect Paula White and all the wingnut pastors to talk about the scourging of Jesus. You may depend upon it.
Here’s Pat Robertson, taking a break from chasing away hurricanes, apparently, and he says that Trump is going to win, too.

What’s comical here is that he doesn’t mention Joe Biden at all, he talks about “Bernie Sanders and OAOC [sic]” who are socialists, who will “take away your cars” and “won’t let people fly airplanes.”
My knee jerk reaction is to laugh, but there are too many of these clowns. 71 million, last I knew. Trump is going to generate as much chaos as possible, because that’s what he feeds off of. What’s good for General Motors is good for the country, we’ve heard. What’s bad for the country is good for Donald Trump, and that’s all he cares about. The needle is about to spike into the red on the insanity continuum, because that’s how Trump runs the vehicle that is his ego and his brand and the two are inseparable.
The Church of Trump is about the dogma of The Run Amok Id.
