The tragedy of America’s sojourn with the reality TV actor, is that so many people have believed his lies. Some of his followers have died from their beliefs or come close to dying. A nurse in South Dakota tells details of the absurd contradictions she hears from coronavirus patients.

Trumpism kills. Literally.

So many people refuse to do even the simplest things to lower the odds of getting the virus. (It’s bad enough seeing people who can’t wear masks correctly.)

My maintenance guy left his nose open when he wore his today. I wiped down everything he touched after.

I just want to cry. My dad has home health nurses that have said the virus will be gone by Nov 4th. Yet these fools will believe in a hell that will never be proven. Ever. Having come from the same gene pool and environment I just don’t get what racism gets them. And that is all being a Republican is about.

They’d have fits if you told them the truth, that hell isn’t even in the bible, and Satan isn’t in the bible as the devil.

And that ‘Hades’ isn’t a place – he’s the Roman god of the dead (and ‘Lucifer’ is ‘the light bringer’ – aka ‘the morning star’/Venus)

More and more, I’m subscribing to the belief that anyone who buys the nonsense that this pandemic is over deserves what they get. Too many others exposed to them? Not so much…not at all, actually.

Saw this thread this morning. It’s bad enough that they would literally rather die than face reality but they’ll unwittingly take as many of the rest of us with them. Stuff like THIS is why I have barricaded myself in my home and got scared when the maintenance guy showed today. He wore a mask…except over his nose.

The process of natural selection, “Darwinism”, is not always a pretty thing.

Like Momma Sock always told me, “Boy, if ya can’t listen you have to feel.”

Never were truer words spoken.

Sad irony: social Darwinism like this wasn’t actually created by Darwin, who was a shy Christian man who hid his evolution theory for decades. That came more from folks like Thomas Henry Huxley and Joseph Fisher, who used it as a “divine right” substitute. Another irony: the folks likely to buy into such are figuring into the COVID spikes.

Yeah, humans are really not good at survival as a species.

It was our ability to join in conmunities that helped us survive and become a dominant species. Now our divisions may throw all our gains away.

Similar to the expression that a hard head makes a soft behind.

Well, actually hard heads with real soft “brains”… or really spacious I should say… sometimes necrotic* when watching or just hearing Fox “News”/OAN/Limbaugh etc. *Prevalent in I heard… people been saying… in Trumpers.

Not much to say about these kinds of stories anymore. Either educate yourself or get sick and possibly die.

What I have to say to such folk is not kind. I recall a tweet from a nurse saying how they didn’t want the applause, the pizza, etc. They just wanted people to do the things they should have done from the start. Every time I see the stats spike, I dig in a little deeper, just as they’d want.

I don’t like that I’ve become less generous and caring overall, but being honest with myself and others I must admit that part of the jarhead inside me has taken hold regarding these Covid deniers. I don’t care if they get sick. Or die. Because they can kill me, or others and no one else should have to get sick or die at their hand. I allow myself to a degree to think of them as I once thought of an enemy. The only difference between them and an enemy from those days is that I don’t allow myself to… Read more »

Ah. The black knight syndrome from holy grail. Instead of joining king Arthur, he fought him over a silly rule & ended up as a head sitting on the ground talking smack. “Whatcha gonna do? Nibble me bum?
