Say what you will about John Bolton, he has succinctly encapsulated the idiocy of Donald Trump’s post-election tantrum of fact free flailing, in one sentence. He said on ABC today, “The Trump campaign simply has no evidence. Their basic argument was this was a conspiracy so vast and so successful that there’s no evidence of it…I really want to know who the people are who pulled this off, we need to hire them at the CIA. The fact is, this is all blue smoke and mirrors.”
And who are the stars of this show? The Loser in Chief proudly boasted about that as part of his most recent late night Twitter meltdown. In the words of one reporter, “He has assembled the Fox News evening programming disinformation dream team.”
I look forward to Mayor Giuliani spearheading the legal effort to defend OUR RIGHT to FREE and FAIR ELECTIONS! Rudy Giuliani, Joseph diGenova, Victoria Toensing, Sidney Powell, and Jenna Ellis, a truly great team, added to our other wonderful lawyers and representatives!

In which @realDonaldTrump replaces the white shoe election law specialists who quit because there’s not a winnable case with a bunch of bar card-carrying TV conspiracy theorists. https://t.co/YF3Wpwdegp

The Borat Tucker, the dynamic Ukrainian shakedown husband and wife duo, and Flynn’s lawyer. Put them together and you get Captain Destroy the Planet.

Jake Tapper came up with the line, “the gang who couldn’t sue straight.” Transcript via Raw Story:
“On Friday, nine cases from Trump and his allies intended to attack and undo President Biden’s victory in key states. nine cases rejected for dropped — nine,” he continued. “So what now? Well, now the president of the United States is literally embracing a deranged conspiracy theory that millions of votes were changed using software. The problem here, a group of national, state, and private election officials issued a statement Thursday promoted online by the cybersecurity czar at the Department of Homeland Security with this sentence bolded: ‘There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised,’ unquote.”
“The problem with Republican officeholders arguing that President Trump has his right to present his evidence in court is that the president’s efforts do not have anything to do with evidence,” he added. “They have to do it with hearsay and rumor and insinuations and lies and conspiracy theories. Once these efforts have been rejected by every court, outgoing President Trump will likely continue to make them. How long is the Republican Party going to continue to defer to unhinged mendacious desperation led by the gang that couldn’t sue straight?”
America, America, God shed his grace on thee. Get us through somehow for 66 more days until Trump can be perp walked out, if necessary.
