Okay, now we know who will be at fault if (when, Great Pumpkin, when!) Trump loses his bid to keep treating the country as his personal toilet for four more years. Who will have caused Der Maximum Fuehrer to lose?

The Supreme Court.

Yes indeedy. The same Court that McConnell upended centuries of law and Senate protocols to turn into a brothel of conservative fanaticism. The same Court that is “welcoming” The Handmaiden, Amy Coney Barrett, to its ranks. The same Court that now has a 6-3 majority of raging, slobbering conservative lunatics.

That Court.

Around 3 am today, Trump pumped a fresh infusion of sewage into the political discourse by saying that if he loses the election, it will be the Court’s fault for failing to support voter suppression tactics in at least two states. The Court refused to stop extended deadlines for voting in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, two key swing states.

TL;DR version: If Trump loses, it will be because the Supreme Court allowed votes to be counted.

Trump used his favorite social media vomitorium, Twitter, to scream his fury at votes actually being counted:

If Sleepy Joe Biden is actually elected President, the 4 Justices (plus1) that helped make such a ridiculous win possible would be relegated to sitting on not only a heavily PACKED COURT, but probably a REVOLVING COURT as well. At least the many new Justices will be Radical Left!

Biden can and should “unpack” the Court with at least four more decent Americans to neutralize the human scum that Trump has packed the Court with. Then he and the Senate can turn to doing the same for federal courts around the country. As Murray in NYC said,

During his spasm of projectile tweeting, Trump also claimed that Biden would “destroy” the Court if he becomes president:

Biden has smartly refused to answer the question of whether he would expand the Court to neutralize the conservative majority. (It’s a no-win question: if he says that he will, the Trump humpers will erupt in a hootenanny of accusations and bullshit which might actually persuade a few fence straddlers to vote for Trump. If he says no, he enrages his base who want him to rectify the unbalanced — in more meanings than one — Court.)

Trump believes that if vote counting simply ends at midnight on November 3, he will be in the lead and therefore should be declared the winner.

He may well be in the lead at that point. But he won’t have won, because not all of the votes would have been counted. Quick reminder to Trump and his gang of idiots and Nazis: This is America. Votes are to be counted, not thrown away. Clear?

Ursula, surely you never believed that the squatter on Pennsylvania Avenue would accept anything other than the belief that everything that he gets wrong is always someone else’s fault

He’s fine with suppressing Dem votes – but all GOP-T votes should be counted. That they have to be counted by the same rules doesn’t seem to get through: Trmp wants what he wants, and no one should get in HIS WAY.

We can certainly see the dress rehearsal taking place here. Trump is dying to declare himself the winner at midnight. He might allow things to go into the wee hours, as they always do, but I wouldn’t count on it. That will set the stage for claiming that any votes counted after midnight — which will be many, certainly in the states where counting of ballots doesn’t even begin before Election Day — are somehow scammed. Our bottom line remains the same: if Biden hits 270 decisively and early on, game over. That is what I’m banking on.

And I’m spending this weekend doing what I can to get that result banked, Ursula. I highly encourage everyone to do the same wherever and however they can before Tuesday. This one’s for all the marbles, people.

I voted yesterday in St. Louis County. The line for early voting went all the way around the building and stopped at the entrance to the Election Board/County Gov. Center. I was in that line for about 2 and 1/2 hours, but it was worth every moment! That line of early voters was astounding. The election official told me that they’ve had lines like that since the early voting began. I’m sure hoping that I’m not disappointed. All paper ballots and then scanned into a machine. This is a red state right now so I’m not sure how I feel… Read more »

Keep the faith, mb! Might be an early Christmas today.

That he would do this whining within the same period within the same 24 hour period that raw footage of a Miami Dade mailroom where ballots have been piled up for over a week? Yeah, not a good look.

More than a few voters there are Rs – they’re the older Cubans.

Well that didn’t take long did it? Sheesh.
Thinking none of this is going to matter come Tuesday evening–the numbers being reported from all over the country for early voting and the party affiliation breakdowns in tandem will more than likely render all the breathless hyperbole DOA, he will lose, bigly, and then it’s done and dusted. Game over. Can’t wait for the likeliest outcome.

I have this wild fantasy of Biden leading by midnight to have cleared the 270 EC barrier, including in states like FL and NC that Trump HAS to have. Call me crazy but if things were to play out that way he will be tweeting up a very different tune! He’ll be blasting twitter world with ALL CAPS word salad DEMANDING every single vote be counted!

That fantasy sounds more reality-based than anything Trump has ever tweeted.

I pray Trump loses and we get him out. I am afraid of his minions doing dirty deeds and cheating.

It’s too late to be afraid of that. But here’s the thing: they suck at it.
