Let us revive the word Unprecedented from her slumber for a brief moment, and then let her lie back and take her rest. Unprecedented became the most exhausted word in the language early on in the era of Donald Trump, that she poured gasoline on herself and lit a match, around the same time Irony said “fuck it” and put her head in the oven.

Tuesday Twitter decided to slap a governing restraint of sorts on Trump and yes, Unprecedented, we will disturb you for just a moment here, because you are the precise and honorable word to describe, once again, something classless and/or evil that Trump has done and the unique response to it that somebody in our culture made, after the oblgatory “WTF are we going to do about Trump’s” latest, in this case, his gross misinformation campaign about mail-in ballots, and his tweets about same. Washington Post:

The move, which escalates tensions between Washington and Silicon Valley in an election year, was made in response to two Trump tweets over the past 24 hours. The tweets falsely claimed that mail-in ballots are fraudulent. Twitter’s label says, “Get the facts about mail-in ballots,” and redirects users to news articles about Trump’s unsubstantiated claim.

The tweets, said Twitter spokesperson Katie Rosborough, “contain potentially misleading information about voting processes and have been labeled to provide additional context around mail-in ballots.”

Here are the tweets in question, one of many on this topic.

The reality TV actor is terrified of his loss in November. That’s understandable. What’s unusual is that he mentiions California. As a Callifornian for forty plus years I can tell you, He.Will.Lose.In.California. You can take that to the bank. Californians hate this man with a laser focus like I have never seen in my life. California is not his worry. He’s already ashes here. That status has not changed nor will it. He needs to worry about the rest of the country and I’m quite frankly surprised that he would even mention us, because the west coast is a fait accompli where Trump is concerned.

His issue is not balloting fraud, and his issue is emphatically not the State of California. His issue is the electorate, which we dearly hope is the “sleeping giant that has awakened,  filled with a terrible resolve,” to paraphrase Japanese Admiral Yamamoto’s profound and prescient  comment after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

Donald Trump has trashed our society and now he’s resorting to a campaign of lies and paranoia in order to trash the 2020 election, Good for Twitter for doing something — although it could do a lot more and just ban him outright. But this is a step in the right direction and as such a good sign that the adults are taking over and the child in chief is soon to be expelled.

I don’t think they will kick him off twitter. I don;t really want them to, either. He’s his own worst twitter enemy. He gets tangled in his own webs. And when he gets roasted that can be fun. And he can’t delete them either.

I wish they’d hide Himself’s tweets behind a warning label, so you have to click through to see them.

I just hope they do at least that much about his tweets regarding Joe Scarborough’s aide.

This is only the beginning. The world will soon completely turn on Trump and those that support him. Trump is now exposed for what he. With current decisions weighted by life or death outcomes, the decisions are clearly right or wrong (i.e., not just politically convenient that can be supported by a GOP majority or a traitor AG calling the shots). There is no cover up now. There cannot be. It is going to get very bad for Trump now. With his disregard for the public health of our citizens, and to save human lives and economic collapse, the time… Read more »

You know, he has made so damn many claims of nonsense … he’s not just ANY idiot, he’s a blithering idiot, one hair brain diversion from reality after another, so many in fact, he has a rotating card file somewhere to draw out old comments and retread and post them like shiny new BS …. A certain gross irony has developed for Trump, flitting from one golf course to another, using tons of hours watching his poison favorite news TV shows as, “Executive”. time, takes notes so they will have told him what he should be doing or saying …… Read more »

Actually this would be sort of amusing seeing the orange ape squirm. But the sad truth is what had a hand in bringing this about is the attacks on Joe Scarborough and the death of an intern in his office. The poor unfortunate ladies husband has been in talks to get this lunkheads stupid, obnoxious, lies taken down to no avail. This needs to stop. The trump maggots are just demeaning the memory of what I assume was a very nice young lady. Something that trump would know nothing about as he has had to pay for any female companionship.

Isn’t it strange how, since he started squatting on Pennsylvania Avenue, the only recorded instances of frauduleent voting by mail were carried out by Republicans, not overlooking the fraudulent one in Florida where he claimed to be a ‘resident’ when the zoning for Mar a lago specifies that it is NOT to be used as a private residence (and three non-consecutive 7 day periodsddo not qualify anyone as a ‘resident’)

It’s good that Twitter did something since the Republiscum senate does absoposutely nothing except Bend over and say “Yes Massa.”

Long overdue for the orange ape! And Ursula I to like where he’s at. While he’s sitting around tweeting we know what he is up to. Without him tweeting we wouldn’t know what the moron is doing. And that’s a very unhealthy situation. Things like blowing up Iran’s general comes to mind. Or pulling troops out of Turkeys border thing with the Kurds. 100,000 dead Americans leaves a rather bat taste in your mouth. We need to know what his next brilliant idea is no matter how distasteful the story is.

We need him to stay on Twitter so they can call out his lies. He does more damage to himself each time he tweets
