This may seem a small thing on it’s face, but it portends a higher reality in Trump world. The aide wasn’t accorded any kind of due process or told specifically what the firing offense was. This kind of ambiguity, along with being thrown off the job suddenly, is not how government workers usually are terminated, to say the very least. This is pure Trump world at it’s worse and it behooves us to take note of it.

Who wants to work in an environment where if you dare breathe a criticism or implied criticism of the boss, you’re instantly fired? Or maybe, you’re “Anonymous” the articulate leaker? Paranoia runs deep with respect to that particular personality.

And this is the White House, never forget, a place where people have always wanted to work, a place where a position was considered the capstone of a successful career. But under Trump, it’s a petty hell hole — or as John Kelly phrased it, “It’s a horrible place to work.”

Why anyone would stay there, I don’t know.

As a government attorney myself, I continue to be horrified by the unbelievable ignorance, malfeasance and reprobate behavior exhibited by POTUS. It is hard to comprehend that one bad actor can so thoroughly undo so much of what this country has accomplished and stood for during it’s entire existence (notwithstanding slavery and decimation of the Native Americans). And to see the GOP enable this behavior is beyond the pale.

All excellent reasons to show these clowns the door in November.

Fine, go ahead and keep firing people. It’s not like it hasn’t bit you in the nads repeatedly when you needed competent people on the scene.

Ummmm…Does the Radioactive Orange One really care about competent people on the scene? Also, do you think he really still has any nads left after the BS shenanigans he’s pulled? He hasn’t always had the secret service protecting him…

He may not have cared before but he better damn well start caring now. This is the kind of stuff where you get it wrong, you screw EVERYBODY. Look no further than Vlad’s announcement of a week of “non-working” if you doubt that he could get some unintentional bliwback.

I can’t see tRump really caring if he “screws everybody” or not. He lives to screw people! Whether it’s through bankruptcy, legal proceedings or just plain malice, he’s the boss at that!
Now Vlad’s week of “non working” is another story. In reality though, the current Russian state seems to be pretty much a managed oligarchy surviving on petro dollars, so who gives a shit about working anyway…

You forget that there are still a few folks he will NOT screw over, which definitely includes Vlad? Those folks have the power to break him and he knows it. He screws them over too bad, down comes the sledge. Oh and considering what kind of ugly a destabilized Russia would bring–think the breakup of Yugoslavia over one sixth of the Earth’s total landmass–you might want to give more of a damn what goes on over there.
