Trump Fears His Staff, Not Dictators, So He Uses Unsecured Personal Phone

Having done two blurbs today, I am hesitant to write another, but I cannot let this go without sending it to a wider audience. A new WaPo story framed by George Conway in a tweet sums up Trump’s dynamic in a devastatingly thunderous way.

Trump is not afraid of foreign dictators learning what he is discussing, but he’s terrified his staff might hear his conversations?

The conclusion is obvious. The only possible reason for this practice is that Trump is regularly doing favors for foreign leaders, action that must be kept from staff. Moreover, one might note that the dictators could expose Trump’s crimes, but evidently that doesn’t scare Trump. The only takeaway is that Trump must be must be giving them what they want! Trump IS afraid of Americans exposing him, so he must be doing things WE, and even his staff, don’t want.

Holy shit.

Framed in such a light it sends shivers down one’s spine. Trump is hiding from Americans because he’s against American interests. He is fine with Erdogan and Putin learning all his secrets. Trump KNOWS that those leaders won’t bribe or blackmail him. If they DO blackmail him, he must be fine with knowing he can deliver. The ONE thing of which Trump is most certainly not fine is Americans learning of his actions with foreign leaders. Evidently Trump cannot deliver if called out by Americans.

I don’t see how there is another takeaway. Trump fears staff action on his private calls more than a brutal dictator’s action on his private calls.

Oh, and the other thing it says, is that Trump doesn’t care about American foreign interests. After all, Putin hears every conversation. Thus Erdogan and others have all they ever need to bribe or blackmail Trump. But Trump is evidently willing to trade Erdogan’s demands or American demands.

Never ever forget, Trump comes first, always. And even though we certainly knew that, hearing it framed in this context and this way just thunders through a person.

He will never, ever, put American interests first if it might cost him personally. Never. Oh, and as if that’s not bad enough, he’s the first president in ages that never dropped all his conflicts, and kept them secret. The perfect storm.

UPDATE: This also states a truth that is tough to take:

Just another way he needs to be held accountable for selling out national security. Unfortunately, it won’t be the repubs who have sold their souls to this sorry-ass clown of a president.

The obvious affinity for Russia should be detailed and there should be an article of impeachment for treason based on the publicly know facts as he obstructed the OSC investigation. Hell, even that little weasel Spicer had a Russian connection. They are reporting on the cell phone thing right now on MSNBC. So far they haven’t said a thing about why the Orange Thing is doing this.

That idiot traffic cone currently occupying the Oval Office can’t keep his stories straight even in his own head–much less have the sense to understand it isn’t just America’s enemies who are undoubtedly listening to every foolish word he spews on an unsecured line; our own intel is bound to be listening, too. Trump, however, by now is growing ever-more desperate, and damn the risk. That stupid sociopath needs Putin and Erdogan to tell him what to do more than he needs oxygen.

Our intel isn’t listening in on Himself – they’re listening in on Russia. And the UK and others are listening in on Himself and pass that back to us – not as much now, because they’re not sure if our agencies can be trusted.

The truth for Donnie is whatever falls out of his mouth on any given day. And this moron is communicating with these dictators somehow. What they need to do is find out how and get recordings.

That was/IS MY QUESTION!!! Which is… MY question is, if “they” can listen in on his “unsecured” phone, THEN SURELY OUR INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES CAN, TOO, RIGHT? And WHY THE HELL NOT??? That having been said, WHY, THEN, aren’t our OWN agencies reporting it to Congress???

The amount of stupid in the West Wing should be enough to get it tagged as a Superfund site.

I used to think that Russia had something on trump which forced him to adhere to their agenda, but it seems more and more like he is a willing participant.
