Dumbest Man in Congress Leads Dumb Group to Attempt Dumb “Break In” of Testimony

Forgive me ahead of time. There is an old South Park parody about how Joseph Smith founded the Mormon religion. I do not condone mocking others’ religions. However, the episode was a musical, linked here, in which each verse was followed by a five-beat “dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb” summary. I could not get the “dumb dumb dumb …” beat out of my head as I read the latest exploits of Matt Gaetz, trust fund guy-DUI guy-Captain Kangaroo guy-dumbest representative not named Gohmert guy. Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb.

Rawstory has the breakdown.

On Wednesday, a group of right-wing representatives led by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) tried to storm into a secure facility for classified information being used as part of the impeachment proceedings, demanding to be informed of the process.

Because nothing says “defending an accused crime” by attempting to commit another crime, right?

They are almost certain to be ejected because they are not members of the committees reviewing the evidence.

And we know this, because Gaetz attempted to bust into the meeting last week, only to have his ass kicked out. Dumb dumb dumb …

But, for all the dumbness of Gaetz’s move, it is actually a reflection on how dumb he presumes Republican voters to be. I would guess that Gaetz believes that Republican voters  don’t know that there are, actually, Republicans attending the depositions who can leave the room and immediately tell Gaetz what happened – provided they are willing to break the law. We know that Gaetz is willing to break the law, so …

Others noticed.

Two dozen? Dumb dumb …

At this point, I am not sure why Democrats should be explaining themselves at all to these people anymore.

Two dozen?

God help us all. Oh, and, again – forgive me. The “dumb dumb” verse is an inside joke between my daughter and I. She can’t be with me now as I write, as she is in school. Smart smart smart smart smart.

****

Peace, y’all

Two dozen? Dumb dumb …

Sounds like maybe 2 dozen others need to be in school as well.
But, what kind of a school??? LOL

more than 30, actually. And another dozen who were aware of it beforehand, because Gaetz was sending his own tweets to them, as well as notifying everyone who reads his tweets.

Gaetz helpfully provided a list with 41 names.

He was sending them to at least 48.

Gaetz is a desperate man, desperate to wrest that title as “America’s dumbest congressman” from Louie Gohmert, who has set a very high bar.

This will backfire. Following the lead of a drunken buffoon will seal the deal.

Agreed, Cmae…they continue to suffer from the delusion that there is a silver bullet solution here. Think Taylor’s testimony (which they CANNOT erase) scared them?

Rhetorical, I know, but yes!

Watched a clip of Gaetz on Lou Dobbs last night. They were trying to say the cone head responded to Taylor ‘no Quid Pro Quo’ in real time. Of course it was four or five hours later. I hope Gaetz was drunk, otherwise he is one messed up looking person. He was scary looking, and Dobbs looked like he should be in hospice care.

Blueman, No matter how absurd the lies or how many “whataboutism” detours Gaetz took, ole Lou just kept cheering him on. It seems that when the wingnuts huddle together they proudly display their total lack of cohesive belief. As long as they stick generally to The Script everything is copacetic. As if the rules say, “Factfree Zone. Only cheerleaders need apply.” To witness this mindless blabber causes me to momentarily lose all hope in the future of humankind….. or lose my mind (;÷p). Luckily I’ve learned how to quickly snap out of it! If they applied this approach to any… Read more »

Meant to say YAAAAY for the South Park reference! (There are so many, you could use one for every single f***-up the Republicans are a part of.

And they TOOK THEIR CELL PHONES INTO THE SCIF.

They are now having to clear the SCIF because of the phones. Dumb dumb dumb . . .

I truly don’t see how this country ever returns to a shared reality. I’m a mental health professional and i don’t see this level of delusion in a month. These folks really think that Russia is a more desirable system because they oppress minorities and support religion. I despair.

Despair helps them win.

The old term, “dumber than a rock”, this goes beyond that somehow … ANYONE/EVERYONE in that attack group needs to be locked out of Congress immediately, no options, end their massive perks and send them home to explain how really dumb they are …. This approaches high crime, no joking matter … our committees are operating smoothly, by law AND order …. these actions need a very stiff resolution, else wise the basics of our protections of persons, as witnesses, and of our country in general require a system of reveal public information, hide sensitive information from the general population… Read more »

Some of them are ON THE COMMITTEES INVOLVED. They know damned well what’s going on.

Just heard about this one…Christ, what a BS stunt. This is the actions of desperate, frightened little men. Unlike the Senate, they have no minority powers that can stonewall the process. So they’re reduced to something THIS asinine. Gaetz better hope his constituents are even dumber than he is.

Not that surprising since Gaetz is the only Congressman EVER to vote in favor of human slavery/sex trafficking: https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs/archives/2017/12/29/florida-rep-matt-gaetz-was-literally-the-only-person-to-vote-against-an-anti-human-trafficking-bill

Republicans are being allowed to characterize the closed-door meetings.
When the open testimony starts everyone will have made up their minds.
Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb

“ I would guess that Gaetz believes that Republican voters don’t know that there are, actually, Republicans attending the depositions who can leave the room and immediately tell Gaetz what happened…..”

Evidently, someone on the right is telling the rubes that only Dems are in the closed door meetings……I have seen that posted many times in right wing whinefests.

Fox probably isn’t telling them that Rs are in the room. I doubt that Sinclair or OANN are, either.

Wouldn’t it be interesting if “Auntie Nancy” censured them for their bad and antisocial behavior and that the memo informing them somehow got lost in the mail or email? That way, the next time there’s a floor vote in the House, she can say, “Excuse me, gentlemen, what are you doing here; you are under censure!” When they complain that they never got the memo, I can hear her words, “Well, that’s unfortunate, but you are nonetheless under censure. Sargeant-at-Arms, please escort these persons from the chamber—handing over a prepared list of names. If they don’t go quietly, please house… Read more »

It is my understanding that censure is a group activity wherein the entire body votes. It is a hand slap that is heard in the constituency. Unfortunately the populace might consider it a rite of passage like doing time.

Gaetz is now comparing it to “300”. Dipshit is clueless.

Another true crime tale of the ”Gang that Couldn’t See Straight, Much Les’s Think Straight”. Bet they got good and liquored up on the KoolAid to get up the courage for this stunt. Not since Gen. George Pickett showed them Yankees a thing or three at Gettysburg have our southern boys so nobly led the charge to own them libtards! 😉

Oh just WOW, saw playback of idiots wandering down to that secluded room where they were obviously NOT supposed to be ….. Iowa’s completely useless Steve King slithered along with the others … dumb one following the crowd since he has been isolated from any committee actions already, probably had plenty of time on his hands to make the jaunt down there … what a putz ….

When the winter snows start in DC, hand him a snow shovel, maybe Iowa and the country could get SOMETHING back from him for his salary …?
