Another horrendously bad idea from the Trump administration. American foreign policy is being shredded before our eyes, like hapless witnesses by a shark lawyer.

Carpenter was a Deputy Assistant Secretary of defense, with responsibility for Russia, Ukraine, Eurasia, the Balkans and Conventional Arms Control, so he’s not an amateur on foreign policy. Donald Trump is the amateur. And, unfortunately, he’s a puppet dancing on the strings of the most evil and powerful man in the world, also the richest, Vladimir Putin. Happy Birthday, Vlad. I don’t even think it’s black humor, anymore. I think this just might be a birthday present to Putin, as insane as life as we know it has gotten.

What are the withdrawal provisions? Because the one thing I’m sure of is that Himself doesn’t know what they are.

Today is turning into a pathetic begging bowl tour from Trump: “Please, please, PLEASE give me something that will save me!” But the one thing he CAN’T undo are those sanctions, which may well be why he’s offering up all sorts of substitutes to Vlad. Got a feeling that today is making R Senators seriously rethink the idea of having Trump around.

They’d probably have an easier time keeping Pence in line, even though he’s remarkably unpopular from his time in Congress.

THIS must be Putin’s birthday present.

Not the one he asked for and the primary reason Trump got helped…removal of the sanctions. The rest are nice and helpful but I suspect that only those will satisfy.

Like a simple card, not the gift-wrapped box of goodies he really wants.
