If you were hoping to bottom-out in your quest to shovel down to the bottom of GOP asshole-ishness anytime soon all I can say is not today…not today…

“A handful of male lawmakers dressed up for a hearing they presided over Tuesday in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, donning pearl necklaces as activists testified about their experiences with gun violence.

Images from the statehouse — where legislators were considering arguments over a bill that would make it easier to take guns away from potentially dangerous people — caromed across social media as critics lobbed accusations of sexism and insensitivity at the necklace-wearing men.

The implication was clear, they said: These politicians thought gun-control activists were “clutching their pearls” in overwrought and self-righteous outrage — and, specifically, female outrage.

The advocates, who were volunteers with the group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, said they felt mocked, as if some of the lawmakers were not interested in hearing stories about how gun violence has affected their lives.

The bill, known as a “red flag” law, would allow family members and law enforcement agencies to obtain court orders that restrict gun access for individuals who may pose an immediate risk to themselves or others. If New Hampshire adopts the legislation, it would join 14 states that have done so, many in the wake of deadly mass shootings.”

Just one mopre thing guys, you do know it is a major faux pas to wear pearls with other jewelry, excepting of course a beautiful understated an elegant pair of earrings. Assault rifle brooches, Masonic lapel pins and “Lifetime Flunky for The NRA” buttons will only clutter that sophisticated look you are striving for with pearls.

And, pro tip guys, always take off one piece of jewelry before leaving the house.

Pearls are much more effective with “jewel” necklines. Collars and ties don’t help at all. /s

Am I wrong to feel extremely angry at these insensitive douches who probably couldn’t load a gun, never mind shoot one?

Republicans are just the greatest, aren’t they? I sometimes argue with my fairly liberal housemate when she says gridlock is because folks can’t get along. I say, you CAN’T get along with GOPs because they are simply evil! The sooner that party goes extinct the better off the world will be. I try to argue that unless we have the White House, Senate (60 seats) and House, progress will be agonizing if it comes at all.

In a more sane and just world, I would agree with your wife. But in this one, some people don’t deserve a second chance. The GOP more than qualifies by now.
